Alberta Foundation for the Arts

Information for Grant Application

SoundKreations is supported by The Alberta Foundation for the Arts (AFA) which provides opportunities for schools to secure funding for our programs! AFA supports arts residency programs in Alberta schools through the Artists and Education project grant. The Artists and Education program enables schools to bring professional Alberta artists into their classrooms for projects ranging from one to thirty days in length. These residencies are available for students in grades K-12.

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts knows SoundKreations and LOVES what we do and as a result they have and continue to approve funding for our programs! In December we completed a 6-day 3-instructor Hip-Hop Dance program at Ecole Agnus Davidson in Lethbridge which was funded through the AFA grant project! The students, staff and parents have all given us exceptional feedback for this program - the highlight being the concluding evening performance in which all the students were able to demonstrate their new skills in their class routines!

"Congratuations SoundKreations for bringing a joy of dance to our school. Clearly the dance instructors have a passion and deep understanding of dance moves but make every effort to make it understandable to every student. Thank you"

- David Nussbaumer (Grade 5 Teacher)
