General Program Information

Our residencies range from 3-days to 30-days but our suggested minimum number of units per class is 5-Units. What this means is that when possible we like to slip into the already established Phys. Ed. or Music schedule and have the students file through as they would on any other day but rather than their regular class content they would receive instruction from us! Hip-hop Dance

Hip-Hop and Safe Break-Dance

(Phys. Ed., Music - All Grades)
The coolest program in the city! An exploration of movement, health, and self-confidence through the art form of hip-hop and safe break-dance! Classes include formal instruction, group exercises, choreographed dance routines, and conclude with a Celebration Assembly! Finally a dance program that boys can get excited about too!

(Language Arts, Music - Grades 4-12)
Poetry is NOT boring! Let us prove this to your students by leading them into the rhythmically electrifying world of SLAM! Poetry. SLAM! Poetry is a word-based performance art that uses a combination of literary techniques and vocal dynamics to bring power to words and people. When the modern-day style of hip-hop meets the  poetry classics the result is... SLAM!

From the Gold Mines of South Africa to the Fraternities of today, Stomp Dance, in its multiple forms, has been with us for centuries! Stomp dance uses music and rhythms created by the body to form a bold and dynamic dance experience.

After School Programs

Why must the excitement and learning stop when a Soundkreations in-school program comes to an end? We don’t think it has to! So we are now offering after-school programs to every school we work with! Each afterschool program will run for a length of 7-weeks and will take place within your school’s gymnasium so those students who wish to continue the adventure of hip-hop dance can do so without leaving their own community!.
