Soundkreations is looking to work with extraordinary leaders to teach transformational dance and poetry programs to students across Canada! If this excites you, we want to hear from you!
SoundKreations is a company that offers dance and poetry workshops within the school environment (Grades K-12) during school instructional hours. We offer an engaging method of developing student’s physical literacy and appreciation for the creative process. Through our programs, we encourage students to explore possibilities in a safe environment with people who believe in them!

Quick Facts About SoundKreations
We teach students from Kindergarten all the way up to Grade 12 but most of our programs involve students K-6 (5-12 years old). Please apply if you love working with kids!
School programs are typically 5-Days in length and run on consecutive days (Mon-Fri). You don’t need to work every week but, on the weeks you are teaching, you need to be able teach every day of that week, Monday to Friday.
The average program length is 5-Days and runs from approx. 8:00am-3:30pm (with recess and lunch breaks). Please apply if you are able to work until 3:30pm during your program week(s)
We offer our clients instruction in various styles of dance including Hip-Hop, Latin, Bollywood, African, Afro-Beats, Dancehall and are always open to including other popular dance styles! Please apply if you have experience in one of the above dance styles or another popular or unique dance style (We are not currently looking for Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Tap or Musical Theatre styles.)
We are looking for Independent Contractors that can lead between 1-3 weeks of workshops every month. Please apply if you are able to teach between 1-3 weeks every month.
SK operates across Canada with our main centres located in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Halifax areas. Please apply if you are located, or can travel to, one of the above locations.
Typical class size is between 25-60 students. Please apply if you feel that you could engage and inspire this number of students!
We offer our programs in English, French and Spanish! Although it’s not necessary, please let us know if you are multi-lingual!

What are some of the challenges of working with us?
Being on time every time!
There is no room for arriving late or unprepared. If you have trouble being on time, this is not the gig for you.
So many kids!
Your day will be filled with an endless stream of students looking to engage. This can be both invigorating and exhausting. If you have trouble working with large groups of students, this is not for you.
Seasonal!
The nature of the school system means that we do not run any programs during the summer months and the months of September and June are very slow.
